World heart day is celebrated on September 29th every year to raise awareness about cardiovascular diseases and promote heart health.The 2025 theme is “Don’t Miss a Beat”, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing heart health and taking proactive steps to prevent CVD- related deaths.The event began with a prayer,followed by a welcome address and lamp lighting, setting a thoughtful tone.The principal’s address emphasized the importance of prioritizing heart health,tying in well with the theme.A welcome dance energized the audience and a skit performance creatively highlighted key heart health messages.The ‘Day in my life as a Perfusionist’ video presentaion and interactive session with a cardiac surgeon boost up the stage and helps the audience to explore the pivotal role of perfusion.Lectures were delivered on topics such as ‘Importanc of Cardiopulmonary Bypass in cardiac surgery’and ‘Intra Aortic Balloon Pump’, providing valuable insights to students and staff.Cultural programs,inludindg dance performances added a lively touch while emphasizing patient safety and teamwork.The symbolic cake cutting ceremony helps to ends the event on a positive note.The Heart Day celebration successfully spread awareness about heart health with a mix of speeches,performances and interactive segments.With tighter connections to the theme and a few tweaks , the event could have had an even greater impact.Overall, it was a meaningful observance of World Heart Day.
