United College of Medical Sciences, Coimbatore celebrated world heart week on October 11th 2021 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm at United educational Institutional Auditorium. Dr.S.Jayakrishnan, M.Ch Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Apollo Hospital - Kochi, was the speaker and chief guest who presented on the topic “Anatomy of Cardiac Chambers and Congenital Cyanotic and acyanotic Heart Defects”. 1st year B.Sc (CT) and B.Sc (CPPT) department students displayed the model of Pulmonary Circulation and it was explained by Gowri Karthic.D, I year B.Sc (CPPT) student. Also a detailed presentation was given on Hypertension topic by Samyuktha.K.R 1st year B.Sc (CT). The students who participated in the session gained an extensive knowledge on Congenital Cyanotic and Acyanotic Heart Defects.
