The Cardio- Thoracic surgeon needs to work on a Stopped Heart for certain surgeries and it is necessary to temporarily replace the patient's heart and lung function. A candidate completing the B. Sc., Cardio Pulmonary Perfusion care Technology assumes the function of the heart and/or lungs during these surgical procedures. The perfusionist manages the physiological and metabolic demands of the patient while the cardiac surgeon operates on the heart.
Candidates belonging to all categories for admission should have passed the qualifying examinations after period of 12 years of study with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology with minimum 35% marks in each subjects (Academic / Vocational Stream).
The lateral entry is applicable for all the UG Degree Course wherever corresponding Diploma Course is available in the concerned specialty. The duration of one year Internship applicable for all the Lateral Entry Candidates.
